1. Overview
Vicenox ("the App") is built with a strict privacy-first design. We do not require you to create an account, we do not track your location, and we do not collect, sell, or share any personal data.
2. On-Device Data Storage
All of your app preferences and mission completion progress are stored locally on your device inside Apple's secure App Group container (group.com.akafi.vicenox) so that the main Vicenox app and its Home Screen / Lock Screen widgets stay in sync:
- Mission Tracker Progress: Stored locally in
progress.jsonon your iPhone or iPad. - Settings & Appearance: Theme preference (System, Light, or Dark) and notification toggles are stored in local
UserDefaults. - Cached Wiki & Map Content: Downloaded Wiki articles and map tiles are cached locally on your device for fast offline access.
3. Push Notifications & Live Activities
If you choose to enable Launch Reminders or start the Final Countdown Live Activity, notifications and Lock Screen / Dynamic Island updates are scheduled locally on your device using Apple's UserNotifications and ActivityKit frameworks. No push tokens are sent to external marketing servers.
4. External Content Requests
When connected to the internet, the App may fetch updated read-only catalog files (such as news items, release schedule updates, map tiles from gtadb.org, or YouTube trailer feeds). When you open an external article or YouTube trailer, those third-party services are governed by their own respective privacy policies.
5. Analytics & Third-Party SDKs
Vicenox contains no third-party advertising SDKs and no cross-app tracking.
